Suggestion
I think i would be better to move the pelican crossing to connect Howard with Miramonte and reduce the ride-along along Speedway. While theoretically the existing location connects the northbound bus stop to the El Rancho (WholeFoods) shopping area, in practice it seems a lot of the foot traffic across Speedway in the evenings is to/from the Loft Cinema between Camilla and Howard. With the new restaurant opening in El Rancho it might make sense to shift the crossing closer to Howard and even on the west side of it
Question
Save money - leave this intersection (Pima Street at Palo Verde Blvd) as is. Proposed improvement will likely impede traffic. Has a traffic study been completed for these improvements? Note: This application for receiving comments is not a good choice.. seek another vendor.
Question
Traffic circle signage per MUTCD- 11th ed? (yield signs - NOT stop signs per illustration 2b-24..) Overuse of stop signs leads to traffic 'blowing' stop signs. Reference SAMOS Neighborhood near Salpointe High School.
Suggestion
One other thing - refers to everything the city builds for the people. Parks, Loop, bike blvds - make sure there is enough money to maintain them or the point of providing them has been defeated. The Treat repaving has deteriorated significantly in 3 years. You get what you pay for --- and if no money has been set aside for upkeep - you end up with nothing very quickly. What about street cleaning and vegetation trimming - all need to be in the budget.
Suggestion
the whole interactive map is incredibly confusing. Start point? End point? of the blvd? Can't read a reference points. Where am I? Touch anything and a comment is requested.
I ride Treat bike blvd a lot. At main roads, especially Speedway and Grant police oversight and ticketing is needed. Cars do not know how to use Hawk lights. Need public educations program about hawk lights for everyone - drivers, cyclists, pedestrians. Bike blvds are great! Best addition to the loop - speaking of - still waiting and waiting and waiting for a new Loop map.
Suggestion
would have liked to have seen route utilize west end of EL CON center. I can surmise reason(s) why this did not happen. Would have been a great opportunity to integrate a multimodal transit hub and spur possible development through Community Corridors process.
